The End

Well, I'm afraid that my adventure has come to an end. I had a great time showing my family around Nagoya, Kyoto, and Tokyo, but the time went by too quickly! After 5 exciting months abroad I am back home and getting ready to start work in just a few days. I wish that everyone could have time to go to Japan and have the great experiences that I did, so I'll leave you with a list of some of my favorite experiences.

Things Everyone Should Do (at least once) in Japan:
  • Fall asleep on the train and miss your stop
  • Eat as much Japanese food that you can't get in America as possible
  • Sit under Sakura trees in full bloom with lots of friends (and food!)
  • See a Kabuki play
  • Go to a conveyer belt sushi restaurant
  • Miss your last train
  • Surprise a Japanese person by speaking Japanese
  • See a movie in Japanese
  • Get pushed onto a train
  • Play with stray cats in the park
  • Ride a ferris wheel (easy to do because there are so many)
  • Eavesdrop on people talking about you
  • Go to The Hub (in at least two locations)
  • All-night Karaoke
  • Go to a baseball game
  • Watch variety shows on TV

That about sums it up- I hope everyone had fun reading!

  2. We had a great time seeing the sights in Japan with you, Meghan! It was fun visiting your school, meeting the Yurikusas, and hearing you converse with the locals. Thanks for being a great tour guide!
